31 May 2022, A survey conducted by the Health Protection Agency (HPA) has revealed that 23 percent of Maldives population is engaged in smoking. 

31 May 2022, The State Trading Organization (STO) has announced in its Annual General Meeting that the company has plans to establish fuel storage and bunkering services in the northern most Ihavandhippolhu Atoll. According to Managing Director Amru, as per their plans, initially they will have floating storage facilities to distribute fuel in the region. 

30 May 2022, Minister of Tourism Dr. Abdullah Mausoom said in the Parliament today that the Ministry has sent notices to 18 resorts for non payment of land lease rent. This statement comes at time the tax authority, MIRA has recently started displaying names of resorts and companies that have failed to pay their dues. (Resorts Naming and Shaming by MIRA)

24 May 2022, A stranger aged 37 chanting and shouting entered one of the secondary schools in Male', Jamaluddin School, while the school was in session and terrified the school children and teachers. The Police soon arrested the person, who has previous criminal records. 

24 May 2022, Aishath Shaan Shakir, nominated by the President as Maldives Ambassador at Berlin, Germany, confirms endorsement by the Parliament today with 29 votes. Ms. Shakir was previously serving as the Chief Protocol at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
