The Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) is hosting a virtual tour expo of the Maldives from the 1st of July till the 30th of the month.
Participants can have the full Maldivian experience from anywhere in the world thanks to the support of virtual reality headsets. Over 1000 virtual tours from 50 different islands across the country, including resorts, will be included in the fare. The tour's seaplane will also make stops at various locations, allowing participants to explore the islands and get a sense of each different location.
In addition to virtually experiencing many islands of the Maldives, participants have the opportunity to win a trip to one of the Maldives' most beautiful cities, Addu. The winning prize is sponsored by Trans Maldivian Airways, which will fly the winner to Addu City to experience the island's true beauty firsthand.
This virtual tour project was started in 2020 in partnership with the Ministry Tourism of the Maldives as a way to showcase the beauty of the Maldivian islands to visitors during the pandemic.
