For those who are looking for a wellness getaway this December, Anantara Veli Maldives' is the place to look forward to.
Following a lengthy nine-month renovation, Anantara Veli Maldives is ready to welcome back guests on December 1, 2022. Located just 30 minutes by speedboat from the Velana Airport, Anantara Veli Maldives is one of the only adults-only resorts in the Maldives, making it a unique and perfect destination for solo trips as well as couples vacations.
Renovated in a traditional-meets-contemporary tropical style, the resort's new layout is planned around a wellness concept. In addition to the usage of natural colours and light fabrics in the interior, the resort also added a new beach pool villa of 148-square-meters featuring sliding doors that opens up to your very own beach-front private pool.
While this new room is something that couples or even solo travellers who are looking for that luxury meets comfort and peace might look forward to, there is an additional feature that might tempt those who are looking for a wellness getaway.
What could be better than a wellness villa in the Maldives, where resorts are isolated from local islands and set in the middle of crystal clear blue oceans where you can rest under the shade of palm trees? For those who are looking for a wellness getaway this December, Anantara Veli Maldives' is the place to look forward to as their new concept includes a wellness villa with light, sound, and scent therapy, Ayurvedic spa amenities, an earthing mat for meditation, and a wellness minibar with herbal teas, healthy shakes, and wholefood snacks.
For all who book the wellness villa, a wellness consultation is carried out, upon arrival to curate the best plan for your stay.
With activities such as daily fitness or yoga, cooking classes that teach participants how to make food that is healthy and nutritious for the body and mind, as well as a hefty 20 percent savings on treatments at the Balance Wellness by Anantara Spa.
The spa offers guests a variety of yoga classes, health and wellness programs, nutritionists and naturopaths, fitness and YOGA instructors, and chefs to assist the guests throughout their relaxation/wellness journey. In addition to these services, Ayurvedic treatments, epigenetics, IV therapy and a new hammam experience is also available at the spa, with several options under each treatment to select from.
While the concept of the newly renovated resort is heavily based around wellness, it is an ideal vacation spot even if you are not into the wellness culture as the resort offers cuisine ranging from local Maldivian, Asian as well as international delicacies that can be enjoyed both in-villa as well as the ideally located restaurants on the resort.
The newest addition to the dining section includes “Cumin” which offers Indian ocean cuisine, “Origami” offering, Japanese cuisine and oceanfront “Dhoni bar” offering all-day refreshments and snacks and the ideal location to watch the beautiful sunset.
The resort is also very environmentally conscious, having built a brand new on-site hydroponic farm, the Maldives' first vertical farm with organic, year-round harvests. This addition complements the resort's new concept, as various species of lettuce, tomato, micro-greens, herbs, and capsicum grown on this farm can be used for the "Spice spoon" cooking classes, while also allowing the kitchen to use the freshest vegetables to produce the best food.
