On 27 February, the Ministry of Health released the 'Maldives Health Statistics 2020.' 

On 26 February, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that 15 Maldivian students in Ukraine have been taken to Hungary. 

On 26 February, the Controller of Immigration and Emigration Mohamed Ahmed announced the government decision to extend the visas of Russian and Ukrainian tourists currently in the Maldives. 

On 25 February, Vice President Faisal Naseem was sworn in as President, after President Ibrahim Ibrahim Mohamed Solih on 24 February announced that he will be undergoing surgery on his thyroid, in Singapore. 

On 24 February, Minister of Tourism Dr. Abdulla Mausoom said that the war between Russia and Ukraine will have a major impact on tourism, noting that 20 percent of tourist arrivals in the Maldives are from the two countries. 

On 23 February, President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih departed for Singapore on an unofficial visit for thyroid treatment. 

On 23 February, the President's Office sent nominations to parliament for appointment to the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC). 

On 23 February, Commissioner of Police Mohamed Hameed said that on 6 January, the Maldives Police Service, in a joint operation with the US' Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and authorities from two European Union countries, have arrested an Islamic State operative in the Maldives.  

On 23 February, the Maldives and China signed an agreement for China to provide equipment to the Maldives Police Service. 

On 22 February, Spokesperson at the President's Office, Mohamed Mabrook Azeez, confirmed that President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has ordered assistance to be provided to repatriate Maldivians in Ukraine. 

On 22 February, the President's Office said that President Ibrahim Mohamed SOlih has decided to establish a national digital identity system. 

On 21 February, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that PCR rests will no longer be required for travel from Malé to other islands. 

On 21 February, the Government signed an agreement with India's Reliance Jio for the establishment of the government's first submarine cable, which will link to the Maldives-India Asia Express cable in the Maldives. 

On 21 February, Ocean Connect, a subsidiary company of Maldives Fund Management Corporation, signed an agreement with Reliance Jio for the establishment of the government's first submarine cable, to be linked to the Maldives-IAX cable.
