Bank of Maldives announces Chairperson and Board Directors

The Bank of Maldives (BML) has announced that Mr. Ahmed Ali Habeeb, Noovilage, S. Hithadhoo, has been re-appointed as the Chairperson of its Board of Directors, following its Annual General Meeting (AGM) 2024. 

BML held its AGM on 28 May 2025, where all the members of the Board of Directors were appointed. 

The Directors nominated by the Government and appointed to the Board are: 

1. Mr. Ahmed Ali Habeeb, Noovilage, S. Hithadhoo 

2. Mr. Mohamed Shareef, M. Ifaau, Male’ (CEO and Managing Director) 

3. Ms. Sahar Waheed, M. Velaaluge, Male’ 

4. Mr. Ali Faris Mohamed, G. Sinamale’ 35-04 3, Male’ 

5. Mr. Adil Moosa, Fen Aaru, B. Eydhafushi 

6. Mr. Mohamed Shahid, Hulhumale Flat no 90-2-02, Male’ 

7. Dr. Mariyam Suzy Adam, M. Amazon, Male’ 

8. Mr. Mohamed Maaiz Munaz, G. Azaro, Male’ 

The three directors elected by the public shareholders are:
