BML enhances SEN class facilities at Sala’huddheen and Hiriya School

In addition to working with the community and different organisations to carry out such projects, the bank has also supported 40 different schools nationwide with educational resources as part of its community investment strategy over the years.

As part of the Bank of Maldives’ (BML) community investment strategy, the bank has supported the upgrading of Special Education Needs (SEN) facilities at Sala’huddheen school in both Hulhumale’ and Hiriya School in Male’.

The bank has been heavily involved in supporting community-based projects in recent years through the bank’s Community-Fund initiative that supports 20 different community-based projects in the thematic areas of education, environment, sports, and community development. In addition to working with the community and different organisations to carry out such projects, the bank has also supported 40 different schools nationwide with educational resources as part of its community investment strategy over the years.

As its latest initiative for two SEN schools, the bank has supported the refurbishment and the provision of specialised educational tools which will aid students in developing their abilities. In addition to providing the much-needed resources for both these schools, the bank’s latest efforts are sure to positively impact learning and development in an inclusive environment as well. 

In addition to providing these tools for the SEN clases in Sala’huddheen school in both Hulhumale’ and Hiriya School in Male’, the bank has also provided financial help to establish a therapy room at Imaduddin School in an effort while also modernising computer laboratories across atoll schools.
