Singapore Airlines moves operations to Terminal 1 at Velana International Airport
With this move, Singapore Airlines is the 32nd carrier to commence operations at the terminal 1.

The Maldives Airports Company Ltd (MACL) announced that Singapore Airlines has moved its operations to Terminal 1 of Velana International Airport.
To mark the transition, a ceremonial water salute was given for the first flight, and arriving passengers were welcomed by Dhiraagu CEO & MD Ismail Rasheed, along with MACL'sCEO & MD, Ibrahim Shareef Mohamed, DMD Mujthaba Latheef, Exco members, and Singapore Airlines’ General Manager, Haziq Sulaiman.
In addition, a ceremonial ribbon-cutting was also held to mark the opening of Singapore Airlines’ check-in counters at Terminal 1. Singapore Airlines is the 32nd carrier to commence operations at the terminal 1.
