Maldivian Seaplane is adding a stunning new destination to its network with the launch of a seaplane route to Noonu Velidhoo, opening easier access to one of the Maldives’ most picturesque islands.
The first flight on this new route is scheduled to start on 23 January 2026. The service has been introduced in line with Government efforts to enhance connectivity between the islands and support regional development. It is expected to improve travel options for local communities while also strengthening tourism access to Noonu Atoll.
Flights will operate twice weekly on Wednesdays and Fridays. To mark the launch, Maldivian Seaplane will introduce a promotional one-way fare of MVR 999 for locals as part of its efforts to improve access to air travel across the country. The new route will also improve accessibility to neighbouring islands within Noonu Atoll, giving travellers easier access to local island experiences, peaceful beaches and the natural beauty of the region.
The service is also expected to support local livelihoods, create opportunities for small businesses and boost economic activity within the atoll.
The addition of Velidhoo follows recent network expansions to Kamadhoo and Fulhadhoo, reflecting Maldivian Seaplane’s continued focus on connecting communities through air access
