Wizz Air to commence four flights each week to the Maldives

With over 600 routes across Europe and beyond, Wizz Air has recently announced that they have launched two new routes from Abu Dhabi to Kuwait and the Maldives.

With the end of each holiday, the need to plan for the next holiday immediately start-up for many. Finding a destination, booking cheap flights and finding affordable accommodation while still not compromising on your dream destination is usually how it goes. If you’re residing in the Maldives, the biggest holidays usually come around Eid breaks which came around July this year. For those who have kids, the school holidays also fell around this time, however, for those who have their annual holiday later this year, the latest announcement from Wizz Air might help with their trip planning.

Wizz air is a low-budget airline that was founded in 2003 and started flying on the 19th of May 2004. Their first flight was based from Katowice to London Luton. By 2013 the airline was celebrating a decade with 50 Airbus 320s and a record of carrying 15 million passengers. 

With over 600 routes across Europe and beyond, Wizz Air has recently announced that they have launched two new routes from Abu Dhabi to Kuwait and the Maldives. The airline took to Twitter to make its announcement of its new route which will be making four flights - departing from Abu Dhabi International Airport every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, starting from October 4th 2022. 

“Here’s something new, with Wizz you can now discover the unrivalled white-sand beaches and the astonishing underwater world of the Maldives or the hidden cultural gems of Kuwait! Don’t miss the chance to explore something new from Abu Dhabi! The flights will be operated on an Airbus A321neo aircraft, which offers the lowest environmental footprint.”

The tickets are also on discounted rates right now with fares to the Maldives starting at DHS 319 (MVR 1,333) and can be purchased through the Wizz Air website.
