Unveiling Beond Airline

During this momentous occasion, Beond introduced its inaugural aircraft, an Airbus A319, furnished with 44 lavish all-lay-flat seats, promising an unparalleled luxury experience for its passengers.

On October 9, 2023, the much anticipated leisure airline Beond made a grand entrance into the travel and tourism industry of the Maldives by unveiling its distinctive aircraft livery at an event hosted in the Maldives. During this momentous occasion, Beond introduced its inaugural aircraft,  an Airbus A319, furnished with 44 lavish all-lay-flat seats, promising an unparalleled luxury experience for its passengers.

While the airline showcased the impressive livery at the event, the actual inaugural flights are scheduled for November, scheduled to commence with Riyadh on November 9th, Munich on November 15th and Zurich on November 17th. The airline has also noted that some of the enthusiastic travellers who have been looking forward to the launching of this much-awaited airline have already chartered the aircraft to have the first time experience.

During this momentous occasion, Beond introduced its inaugural aircraft,Tero Taskila, the CEO and one of the founders of Beond, articulated the airline's vision: "Welcome to Beond. Beond is set to operate a fleet of state-of-the-art Airbus A320-family aircraft, offering a unique luxury lay-flat configuration, facilitating the journey of passengers to the Maldives from Europe, the Middle East, and the Asia-Pacific region.

This is a big win for the Maldives, as the country is continuously seeking to expand its travel and tourism sector with new and innovative ideas. This effort was further made possible due to the contribution by SIMDI Group, who already play a large role in the shaping of the tourism industry of the country

In addition to bringing in a luxury airline, Beond will also be creating new opportunities in the Maldives in terms of jobs, as well as developments when it comes to community-focused initiatives in different sectors of the country.
