Following major flight disruptions due to airspace closure as the unrest in parts of the Middle East continues to escalate, Minister of Tourism and Environment, Thoriq Ibrahim, visited Velana International and was briefed on the arrangements and preparations to facilitate passengers affected by the flight disruptions.
The Ministry noted that they are closely monitoring the situation in the Middle East and working with all industry partners to provide support and assistance to over 1400 passengers who have been affected due to flight disruptions. For these passengers, the Ministry stated that they have liaised with relevant tourist facilities and partners to arrange accommodation and stay.
The Ministry assured that they continue working with all airlines and industry partners to ensure all affected passengers are provided with the necessary support and assistance.
