Manta Air expands horizons with direct flights from Kudahuvadhoo to Bangalore

In a significant stride towards enhancing connectivity and promoting tourism, the Maldives’ private airline, Manta Air, has unveiled plans to launch direct flights from Kudahuvahdoo Airport to Bangalore, India. This marks a historic moment as it is the first time this Airport will have direct flights connecting it to destinations outside of the Maldives.

Not only is this a great milestone for Manta Air, as the airline increases its connectivity, but this is also a great opportunity for the islands and resort in the area, as India has been the second-largest tourist source for the Maldives since the COVID-19 pandemic with 177,000 tourist arrivals this year alone.

Kudahuvadhoo Airport finds itself conveniently located near some of the most prestigious resorts in Dhaalu Atoll in the Maldives - namely Kandima Maldives, Niyama Private Island, St. Regis Maldives, Riu, Baglioni Maldives, Angsana Velavaru, and Sun Siyam - this new connectivity will make it easier for travellers to get to these destinations as they will no longer have to make stops from Male’ to reach their destination. This seamless connectivity will allow tourists to make the most of their time at these exclusive destinations.
