There is definitely no better feeling than getting on a flight back home. This is true for a majority of the people who had to move away from their islands for various reasons whether it is for a better livelihood or a better education.

Regardless of the reasoning or where you reside in, with the developments in the transportation sector, we have all gotten used to getting home by a short flight with a beautiful scenery. For the residents of Baa Atoll Dharavandhoo, one of the most scenic Atolls in the Maldives, the delightful news that they have been waiting for a long time is finally here as the national carrier Maldivian Airlines has announced that they will be resuming flights to Dharavandhoo from June 15, 2023!

With this news, Maldivian also announced that customers will be getting a 5 to 15 percent discount for any advanced bookings that are made, making the flight tickets more affordable for those who are looking to fly back home or for a beautiful vacation at Baa Atoll for the coming Eid.

While the airline has announced this, Dharavandhoo is not a new route to Maldivian Airlines as the airline used to fly to Dharavandhoo up until 2019, which is when Manta Air started flying to the destination leading to Maldivian halting flights to Dharavandhoo.

With the airline recently adding new ATR’s to its fleet, many customers are expecting the airline to fly to additional routes in the future, making it more accessible to explore the beautiful local islands of the Maldives.
