Maldivian, the national airline of the Maldives, has made an exciting announcement for travellers who are looking to travel in comfort with additional benefits. Giving passengers an additional option on the Maldivian flights, the airline has now announced the launch of its all-new Premium Economy experience for travellers on all domestic routes. Travellers can book the Premium Economy experience on Maldivian Airlines starting 13th April 2025 and enhance convenience and comfort with an improved travel experience.
Starting today, travellers can book seats in Premium Economy and enjoy a range of exclusive benefits. This upgraded experience includes a generous 25kg baggage allowance—5kg more than the standard Economy class—along with one complimentary date change for added flexibility. Additionally, Premium Economy passengers can take advantage of priority check-in, ensuring a faster and more seamless airport experience.
For flights originating from Malé, passengers will have access to the Moonimaa Lounge, where they can relax and unwind before their flight. This lounge access provides a serene environment with comfortable seating, refreshments, and other amenities. Additionally, passengers departing from Dharavandhoo and Ifuru will also have access to the respective lounges. Passengers on Premium Economy will also be provided with priority boarding.
Onboard, passengers can look forward to a complimentary snack and drink as well. In addition to these perks, Premium Economy travellers will enjoy fast-track baggage handling, meaning their luggage will be among the first to be delivered upon arrival.
