As of late, a significant number of travelers have been actively seeking convenient and cost-effective flight options to reach their desired destinations, in pursuit of enhanced travel experiences. Among the holidaymakers from the Maldives, Bangkok has consistently held its place as one of the top-preferred destinations. This preference is fueled by the appealing combination of reasonable costs and the close geographical proximity of the two regions. This appeal goes both ways as Maldives is a popular destination, not only for travelers from Bangkok but from around the globe as well.

In anticipation of the upcoming winter season, which traditionally witnesses heightened travel activity, there's excellent news on the horizon. Bangkok Airways has officially declared the resumption of direct flights between the Maldives and Bangkok, with the commencement date set for September 2023. This announcement brings positive implications not only for the Maldives but also for the residents of Bangkok who are eyeing the Maldives as their winter getaway. The winter season aligns with the peak of tourist influx into the Maldives, rendering this revival of flights especially timely.

Bangkok Airways is all set to facilitate this travel reconnection by operating flights from Don Mueang Airport to Velana International Airport. The flight schedule has been thoughtfully designed, offering departures on Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays each week. This comprehensive schedule translates into a frequency of four direct flights every week. Such a robust flight schedule is poised to cater to the varying itineraries of travellers, making their journeys more flexible and convenient.
