The Malé Water and Sewerage Company (MWSC) has unveiled a significant upgrade to its e-portal services, marking a major step towards digital transformation and customer convenience. The launch of the enhanced online platform on December 30, 2024, reflects MWSC’s commitment to providing efficient and accessible services to its diverse customer base across the Maldives.
The inauguration ceremony, held at MWSC headquarters, was attended by key company officials, including Chairperson Shamhooza Ahmed and Managing Director Abdul Matheen Mohamed, who officiated the launch. Speaking at the event, the Managing Director emphasized the company’s focus on leveraging technology to enhance customer satisfaction and streamline service delivery.
The upgraded e-portal introduces a range of features designed to simplify and expedite customer interactions. Some of the key enhancements include:
1. Integration with eFaas: The portal now supports authentication through the national digital identity system, eFaas, ensuring secure and seamless access for users.
2. Online service applications: Customers can apply for services entirely online, eliminating the need for physical visits to MWSC offices.
3. Real-time updates on service requests: Users can track the status of their service requests in real time through the portal, enabling better transparency and efficiency.
4. SMS notifications: Customers will receive instant SMS updates for changes in the status of their service requests, keeping them informed at every step.
5. Multi-account management: The platform allows customers to manage multiple accounts through a single login. This feature is particularly beneficial for businesses or households managing several properties.
6. Bulk bill payments: Customers can pay multiple bills simultaneously, either for a single account or across multiple accounts, simplifying the payment process.
7. Smart meter monitoring: For customers with smart water meters, the portal provides detailed usage data, enabling them to monitor and manage water consumption more effectively.
These upgrades are expected to significantly reduce the need for traditional customer support methods, such as phone queues, and provide a more convenient, efficient, and user-friendly experience.
With this latest development, MWSC customers across the Maldives can now enjoy greater convenience and accessibility, reinforcing the company’s role as a reliable and forward-thinking service provider.
