The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced that VFS Global will operate a Temporary Visa Clinic at Maagiri Hotel in Malé from 10 to 12 August 2026. The announcement made today noted that any Maldivian nationals planning to apply for a UK visa are advised to use the official GOV.UK Student Visa Portal to complete their online application and book an appointment.
The Temporary Visa Clinic is organised annually to assist Maldivians, particularly students, travelling to the United Kingdom for higher education. It provides a convenient opportunity to enrol in biometrics and submit the required supporting documents directly in Malé, eliminating the need to travel overseas.
The initiative aims to make the UK visa application process more accessible for Maldivian nationals by allowing biometric enrolment and document submission to be completed locally before travelling.
