Pension Office
Pension Office conducted a session of the Career Compass Program for the students of Villa International High School on 21 September 2026, aimed at equipping students with practical knowledge and skills to support their transition from school into the workforce and towards greater financial independence.
The session covered key areas of career development, providing students with guidance on exploring and planning their career paths, as well as CV writing and interview skills. Students learned how to prepare an effective CV, present their skills and experiences, approach job applications and prepare for interviews.
Students were also introduced to the Maldives Retirement Pension Scheme (MRPS) and the basics of retirement planning. The session highlighted the importance of planning for retirement from an early stage and building savings to support financial security later in life.
Through Career Compass, Pension Office aims to provide students with practical knowledge that can support them as they prepare for the next stages of their education, employment and personal development.
The program forms part of Pension Office’s broader efforts to promote financial literacy and awareness among young people, while helping students develop practical skills and an early understanding of the Maldives Pension System.
