On 12 February 2026, the Male' Water and Sewerage Company Pvt. Ltd. (MWSC) welcomed delegates of the Freshwater Action Network (FANSA) to our Malé Annex Facility as part of their Annual Meeting held in the Maldives.
The delegation was provided with an overview of our operations and water production processes, offering insights into the systems that ensure a safe and reliable water supply to the Greater Malé Region. MWSC noted that the visit highlighted the importance of collaboration, knowledge sharing, and sustainable water management in strengthening water security across the region.
Formally launched in January 2008, Freshwater Action Network South Asia (FANSA) incorporated as a semi-formal network of organizations active in the WASH sector in South Asia. For over 12 years, FANSA has contributed to, and helped shape, the regional WASH agenda at national, regional and international forums.
