MWSC
On 13 December 2025, the Male’ Water and Sewerage Company Pvt. Ltd. (MWSC) entered into a contract with the Ministry of Construction, Housing & Infrastructure for the development of water and sewerage facilities in the newly reclaimed area of R. Dhuvaafaru. The project will be implemented on a design-and-build basis.
The contract was signed by the Minister of Construction, Housing & Infrastructure, Dr. Abdulla Muththalib, and the Managing Director of MWSC, Mr. Abdul Matheen, at a ceremony held in R. Dhuvaafaru. His Excellency President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu attended the signing ceremony, underscoring the government’s commitment to strengthening essential infrastructure in island communities.
