On 13 April 2026, the Male' Water and Sewerage Company pvt. ltd. (MWSC) has commenced water and sewerage network upgrading works under the Malé North Side Boduthakurufaanu Magu Road Development Project (Phase III, Segment 5), enhancing infrastructure to ensure a reliable water supply for the community.
Giving the updates, MWSC noted that the sidewalk water pipeline works have been completed, with the butt-welding works currently ongoing for the sewer pumping main and water pumping main upgrades. In addition, MWSC also noted that a new sewer gravity pipeline installation is in progress.
