The Maldives Aiports Company Limited (MACL) has signed an agreement with the Maldives National University (MNU) to develop a Hotel School and Resort in L. Hulhimendhoo to strengthen human capital development within the tourism and hospitality industry.
The signing ceremony, which was held on 22 October 2025, was witnessed by President Dr Mohamed Muizzu, where the agreement was signed by our CEO & MD, Ibrahim Shareef Mohamed, and Deputy Vice Chancellor, Dr Raheema Abdul Raheem.
The development of a hotel school and resort on the island will not only add to the development of the tourism sector in the area, but it will also help advance education and training opportunities in the tourism and hospitality sector, support the development of skilled Maldivian professionals, and enhance local participation in the industry.
