The Maldives Monetary Authority (MMA) has introduced a special hotline number for complaints regarding services provided through the Favara payment system.

Governor Ahmed Munawwar launched the 1544 hotline at a special ceremony held at the MMA.

The hotline was established to improve the quality of payment services provided by MMA's Payment Maldives Pvt Ltd and to resolve various issues encountered by customers easily and quickly. Payment Maldives will handle the complaints submitted through this hotline.

The 1444 service, which is already used for general complaints related to financial services, will continue without interruption. However, the newly introduced 1544 number is reserved for Favra and other payment services provided by Payment Maldives.

The MMA hopes that this will provide a quick solution to the challenges faced by customers in conducting financial transactions through the banking and financial system of Sri Lanka and increase the reliability of the service.
