Welcome to the 13th Edition
Eid Mubarak and Happy Independence Day!
Dear reader,
I relish the opportunity to, from our family at The Maldives Financial Review, wish you and your families and loved ones, Eid Mubarak and a Happy Independence Day.
As we head into 'July 26', our Independence Day, you will notice that we have, in this issue, taken a significantly nationalistic focus in some of our writings — examining the, at times, evolving values of sovereignty, democracy, society and patriotism.
With this, our 13th edition, we will be winding up our SME themed monthly coverage.
We will also, in line with current developments, be discontinuing our 'Weekly COVID-19 update' and rolling pandemic related updates into our 'Maldives this week' coverage. Hopefully we will not have to revive the COVID-19 update column anytime in the near future.
Once again, with the hope that we have made a contribution of some value to you, we would like to thank you, and offer our sincere appreciation and gratitude for your patronage.
