Lost games and injuries had Pele’ take a break from participating in world cups after 1958, however, in 1970 the world got to see the real, raw talent and how much hard work and effort can pay off. After 12 years of practice, finally during the 1970’s World Cup, Pele’ finally accomplished his goal of winning a world cup for his country. This was a big moment in history as it also happened to be the first time the World Cup was televised all around the globe, marking a moment and a name in history that will be remembered forever.

The reason Pele’ is one of the most important names in football is not only due to his amazing set of skills, but it is also due to the fact that Pele’ is the only man to have won three world cups in his football career so far. His raw talent is so remarkable that Armando Nogueira, one of the most well-known Brazilian sports journalist was quoted saying “if Pele’ had not been born a man, he would have been born a ball”.
