BML set to introduce ATM services in all inhabited islands of Thaa Atoll
During the week, the Bank will also be launching ATM services in an additional 8 islands in Thaa atoll to achieve ATM network coverage on all inhabited islands in the atoll.
The Bank of Maldives (BML) has inaugurated its self-service banking ATM services in Thaa atoll, Buruni, as part of the “Mulhi Raajje ah BML ATM” initiative on 23 September 2025. During the week, the Bank will also be launching ATM services in an additional 8 islands in Thaa atoll to achieve ATM network coverage on all inhabited islands in the atoll.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by President Dr Mohamed Muizzu, Ministers, BML Chairperson Ahmed Ali Habeeb, BML CEO and Managing Director Mohamed Shareef and senior officials of the Bank.

With the introduction of modern ATMs, both residents and businesses will benefit from convenient, round-the-clock self-service banking, eliminating the need to travel to other islands for these services.
