The Bank of Maldives (BML) has established Self-Service Banking ATMs in Vaavu atoll, Fulidhoo and Thinadhoo as part of its "Mulhi Raajje ah BML ATM" initiative on 19 September 2025.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by President Dr Mohamed Muizzu, Ministers, BML Chairperson Ahmed Ali Habeeb, BML CEO and Managing Director Mohamed Shareef and senior officials of the Bank.
With the two new ATMs launched today, Vaavu atoll now has self-service banking facilities in Fulidhoo, Thinadhoo, Keyodhoo and Feridhoo, in addition to a full-service branch in Felidhoo. We look forward to launching our ATM in V. Rakeedhoo tomorrow to complete the important milestone of expanding our ATM network to cover all inhabited islands in the atoll to ensure financial inclusion for our communities.
