The Maldives Monetary Authority (MMA) has opened the Money Matters Art Competition as part of MMA FinLit Fest 2026, inviting students across the Maldives to explore money and finance through creativity and visual expression.
The competition is open to students in Grades 5 to 9, with two participation categories covering Grades 5–7 and Grades 8–9. Students can submit artwork under either the Digital Art or Non-Digital Art category.
Participants are encouraged to creatively explore themes related to financial wellbeing and the future, including smart money choices, saving and financial goals, inclusive finance, innovation and the future of money, and responsible and sustainable finance.
Winners of the Money Matters Art Competition will receive cash prizes of up to MVR 3,000, along with certificates. Selected artworks may also be showcased at MMA events and exhibitions and featured in MMA publications, digital campaigns and awareness materials. Participant Guidebook - Art Comp
The deadline for submissions is 1 November 2026 at 23:59 Maldives Time. Digital artworks can be submitted via [email protected], while physical submissions can be delivered or sent to the Maldives Monetary Authority in Malé. Participant Guidebook - Art Comp
