The Maldives Monetary Authority (MMA) has announced the Tamweel Values & Vision Art Showcase, inviting students from grades 5 to 9 across the country to explore the future of finance through creativity. The Competition encourages young artists to express how ethical values, inclusivity, and sustainability can shape a financial system that benefits people, planet, and purpose.

Through paintings, drawings, digital works, or mixed media, participants will illustrate their vision of finance as more than just numbers and transactions, portraying it instead as a tool for fairness, community care, and long-term resilience. Each submission must be accompanied by a short description of the concept and its connection to the chosen theme.

The showcase offers eight broad themes, including “Money with a Purpose,” “My Dream of a Fair Economy,” “Helping Hands: The Spirit of Giving,” and “A Just Future Through Inclusive and Sustainable Finance.” These themes encourage students to reimagine finance in ways that emphasise justice, responsibility, and social change.

The competition is divided into two categories، grades 5–7 and grades 8–9, with separate recognition for digital and non-digital submissions. Winners will receive cash prizes of up to MVR3,000 along with certificates, while a special award of MVR 00 will honour the best Islamic finance-inspired artwork. Selected pieces may also be showcased at MMA events and featured in publications and awareness campaigns.

Students may submit their work either digitally or physically, with entries closing at 3pm on 9 October 2025. MMA has stated that artworks must be original, age-appropriate, and free from AI-generated content or plagiarism.

By blending artistic imagination with financial awareness, the MMA aims to empower students to see money not only as a means of exchange but as a force for building a just and sustainable society.
