On 07 October 2025, the Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL), together with the Ministry of Finance, signed an MoU to develop the ADh. Mahibadhoo Urban Centre. The MoU was signed by the CEO and Managing Director of MACL, Ibrahim Shareef Mohamed, on behalf of the company, and the Minister of Finance and Planning, Moosa Zameer, on behalf of the Government.

On the same day, the CEO and Managing Director of MACL, Ibrahim Shareef Mohamed, along with the Minister of Sports, Fitness, and Recreation, Abdulla Raafiu, Parliament Member Abdulla Rasheed, and Adh. Omadhoo Council Vice President, Shaziyya Ismail, also graced the groundbreaking ceremony of the Fitness and Recreation Centre in Adh. Omadhoo.
MACL noted that this project underscores the company's commitment to supporting vibrant and healthy communities across the Maldives.
