On 28 June, the Maldives Airports Company Ltd (MACL) signed an MoU on Airport Crisis Management. The session was conducted with the National Disaster Management Authority, Maldives (NMDA), Maldives Meteorology (MetMaldives), and Maldivian Red Crescent (Maldivianrc).
According to MACL, these agreements will strengthen coordination and enhance emergency response readiness at the airport. The company also expressed their appreciation for the continued support and collaboration of partners.
Airport crisis management relies on coordinated planning and communication between multiple agencies to ensure an effective response during emergencies. Collaboration between the airport operator and national emergency response organisations is aimed at improving preparedness for incidents such as natural disasters, severe weather events, medical emergencies, and other situations that may affect airport operations.
