The Maldives Marketing and Public Relations (MMPRC) has announced major changes as of 13 July 2025, as President Dr Mohamed Muizzu renamed the company to 'Visit Maldives Corporation Limited'. This change was formalised today through a Presidential Decree issued under Act No. 19/2025.

The company, which was established on 4 March 2010, is the national tourism office of the Maldives responsible for carrying out promotional activities. As the company that promotes the Maldives' tourism industry, Visit Maldives has played a vital role in bringing thousands of travellers to the country and establishing a better tourism industry in the Maldives over the years.

In addition to this, Visit Maldives has also announced that the company has come out with an enhanced logo and updated brand identity as of 13 July as well. In their statement, Visit Maldives noted that these brand changes were brought about to represent a thoughtful refinement of the iconic Maldives destination brand.

While the changes are not major, Visit Maldives also noted that the changes are aimed at ensuring a more unified and impactful visual presence across all platforms.

The enhanced logo incorporates subtle adjustments in colour tones and a more prominent logotype, designed to create stronger visibility — particularly in high-exposure placements such as outdoor advertising. While the overall look remains familiar, these enhancements are intended to strengthen brand recognition and visual consistency.

In addition to the logo update, refined brand guidelines have been introduced. These include updated fonts and simplified design elements, with a greater emphasis on destination-focused imagery and reduced reliance on supplementary graphics — ensuring a cleaner and more cohesive visual language in all communications.

According to Visit Maldives, the enhancements were brought about to reflect Visit Maldives’ continued commitment to presenting the Maldives as a world-class destination while preserving its essence as a globally loved brand. The updated logo and branding elements have officially come into effect as of 6th July 2025 across all platforms and mediums.
