On 06 March 2026, the Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) completed a three-day IATA Airport Collaborative Decision-Making (A-CDM) in Airport and Ground Operations training program, aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and strengthening coordination across airport stakeholders.
According to MACL, the training concluded today after bringing together 23 participants for an intensive learning experience focused on the A-CDM framework — an internationally recognised system designed to improve airport performance through better communication, shared situational awareness, and data-driven decision-making.
Throughout the program, participants engaged in an in-depth exploration of A-CDM principles, which emphasise collaboration between airport operators, airlines, ground handlers, and air traffic management to streamline airport processes and reduce operational bottlenecks.
The training centred on improving efficiency in airport and ground operations by promoting standardised procedures, timely information sharing, and coordinated decision-making among all stakeholders involved in daily airport activities.
The completion of this program marks another step in MACL’s broader efforts to modernize airport operations, enhance workforce capabilities, and ensure that airport services in the Maldives remain aligned with global aviation best practices.
