This survey aims to collect information on outward remittance patterns of expatriate workers in the Maldives.

The Maldives Monetary Authority will be conducting the "workers' Remittance Survey 2026" to collect data for the compilation of Balance of Payments statistics.
The survey will take place on 10 April 2026, across various locations within the Greater Male' Area. This survey aims to collect information on outward remittance paterns of expatriate workers in the Maldives.
Information collected during the survey will include nationality, remittance methods used, frequency of sending money abroad, and the amounts remitted. No personal information such as names, passport numbers or work permit details will be collected durinng the survey.
All responses will remain strictly confidential and used only for statistical purposes.
