On 27 September 2026, the Male' Water and Sewerage Company Pvt. Ltd. and FENAKA Corporation Limited have signed a Framework Agreement for the proposed transfer of water and sewerage services in Addu City, Addu Hulhudhoo, Addu Meedhoo and Fuvahmulah City to MWSC.
The agreement establishes a framework for a coordinated and orderly transition, with a focus on ensuring the continued delivery of reliable water and sewerage services to the communities in both cities.
