MTCC introduces RTL ferry services in Raa Atoll

With the introduction of the RTL services, the provider is also offering free of charge connections in Raa Atoll from 26 June till 2 July 2025 - giving travellers in the atoll an opportunity to explore the connectivity provided by the services.

On 26 June 2025, Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has introduced the "Rajje Transport Link" (RTL) high-speed ferry services in Raa Atoll. With this expansion, RTL services is now provided across 10 atolls, taking another stride closer to President Dr Mohamed Muizzu's pledge to connect all inhabited islands through the RTL network before the end of 2025.

With the introduction of the RTL services, the provider is also offering free of charge connections in Raa Atoll from 26 June till 2 July 2025 - giving travellers in the atoll an opportunity to explore the connectivity provided by the services. Interested travellers can now book tickets through the RTL website as well as the mobile app.

In an interview with local media, MTCC Managing Director Ahmed Saudee also announced that RTL services will further expand to connect to Baa Atoll by the end of July, further increasing the connectivity between the atolls of the Maldives.
