On 13 March 2026, the Maldives Monetary Authority (MMA) announced a new initiative in celebration of the Global Money Week.
To celebrate the Global Money Week, MMA is inviting students to take part in 'Smart Money Talks: Youth Dialogue with the Experts.' According to MMA, this special event will give students the opportunity to visit MMA and take a guided tour of the central bank, engage in an open dialogue with experts, and learn practical lessons about saving, spending, and managing money wisely. Additionally, MMA also stated that this will give students a chance to ask questions and share their thoughts about money and financial decision-making.
With participation limited to 50 students of Grades 5 to 12, MMA announced that the confirmation for acceptance will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Students who are interested in participating can register now through the link provided here: https://forms.office.com/r/tch7RPEKP9
