Maldives and Saudi Arabia sign an agreement to enhance cooperation in the judicial sector

According to the Supreme Court, the agreement was signed for a period of five years, in a move to strengthen legal and administrative procedures related to the judicial sector.

The Maldives and Saudi Arabia have signed an agreement during the International Judicial Conference taking place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The agreement, signed between the Supreme Court of the Maldives and the Ministry of Justice of Saudi Arabia, focuses on enhancing cooperation in the judicial sector.

Signing on behalf of the Maldives was Chief Justice Abdulla Saeed, and on behalf of the Saudi Government, the agreement was signed by Justice Minister Dr. Walid Al Samaani.

According to the Supreme Court, the agreement was signed for a period of five years, in a move to strengthen legal and administrative procedures related to the judicial sector. Additionally, the agreement is also set to develop and enhance the professionalism and competency of judges and those working in the judiciary sector.

The agreement, which is set to facilitate the sharing of expertise and skills through technical conferences, training programs, and consultative meetings, will also see the sharing of information and experience related to the judicial procedures, systems, and international best practices between both nations.
