BML Islamic hosts 'Eid Sai' for communities in 9 islands

Eid Sai is a big part of the Maldives' Eid culture, which not only brings communities together but also strengthens the bonds between neighbours and the greater community.

As the Maldives celebrates Eid al-Fitr, the Bank of Maldives (BML) Islamic branch has taken the initiative to host Eid Sai (tea) for communities in 9 different islands. Eid Sai is a big part of the Maldives' Eid culture, which not only brings communities together but also strengthens the bonds between neighbours and the greater community.

The Eid Sai hosted by BML Islamic was carried out in collaboration with island councils and local NGOs. In addition to M. Muli, the Eid Sai was also hosted in GA. Gemanafushi, HA. Dhidhdhoo, ADh. Mahibadhoo, L. Fonadhoo, V. Keyodhoo, Hulhumeedhoo, N. Fodhdhoo, and Dh. Bandidhoo.

This year's Eid Sai events were held part of BML Islamic’s 10th anniversary celebrations. Bank of Maldives also hosted Eid gatherings in 6 islands last year.
