Hong Kong Shanghai Banking Corporation (HSBC)

HSBC started its operation in Maldives in 2002 and is the largest international bank operating in the Maldives. With more than 40 million customers through their global businesses they have a network that covers 64 countries and territories in Europe, Asia, the Middle East and Africa, North America and Latin America.

As at end of 2021, the bank has total asset of over MVR4.6 billion with total loans at MVR1.49 billion while total deposits recorded at MVR3.71 billion.
