The Maldives Monetary Authority (MMA) has announced that the authority will be providing banking services on 28 May 2026 from 08:30 to 14:00.
The announcement was made regarding the upcoming Eid Al-Adha public holiday, as the Maldives' Government has declared 24 to 30 May 2026 as public holidays to celebrate Eid. According to MMA, while banking services will be available on 28 May, cash withdrawals and cash wire transfer services will not be available, urging the public and local businesses to arrange the needed cash ahead of the upcoming holidays.
