Clique College holds 2025 convocation ceremony, honours first batch of undergraduate graduates
This year’s convocation was especially notable as it marked the graduation of the first batch of students from the Bachelor of Computer Science, Bachelor of Sports and Exercise, and Bachelor of Business Management programs developed and delivered by Clique College.
Clique College held its 2025 Convocation Ceremony on Monday, 30 June 2025, at the Islamic Centre, celebrating the academic achievements of up to 170 students. The event marked a significant milestone for the institution, as it honoured the first graduating cohort from three of its key undergraduate degree programs.

This year’s convocation was especially notable as it marked the graduation of the first batch of students from the Bachelor of Computer Science, Bachelor of Sports and Exercise, and Bachelor of Business Management programs developed and delivered by Clique College.
In his keynote address, Dr. Naushad Mohamed, President of Clique College, reflected on the milestone achieved with the graduation of the college's first undergraduate cohorts. He emphasized the growing importance of higher education in today’s rapidly evolving world.
Dr. Naushad underscored the need for graduates to engage as intellectuals in supporting both public and private sector development, and to contribute meaningfully toward solving pressing societal issues. He also noted the disruption of traditional jobs due to technological advancements, economic shifts, and geopolitical tensions, stressing the importance of being adaptable and future-ready.

He also announced the upcoming launch of a Learning Management System (LMS), a platform widely used by top universities in the UK and Australia. The LMS will enhance the learning experience through remote, in-person, or blended learning modes and uphold international educational standards.
Chief Guest Dr. Abdulla Nazeer, Minister of State for Higher Education, praised Clique College’s commitment to delivering quality higher education. In his speech, Dr. Nazeer highlighted the influence of artificial intelligence (AI) in transforming the job market and encouraged students to embrace emerging technologies to remain competitive and adaptable in the workforce.

The ceremony also featured several awards recognizing academic excellence, leadership, and contributions to the college community.
President's Roll of Excellence
Awarded to 6 students from the SEGi-affiliated Bachelor of Business Management (Honours), Bachelor of Computer Science, and various Diploma programs. The award honors students with exceptionally high academic performance.

Clique College is proudly announced to have produced 58 ABE Top Paper Prize winners to date, including 3 medalists honoured during this year’s convocation. The college has offered ABE programs for over 25 years.

Launch of New MBA Program
During the event, Clique College also announced the launch of a new MBA program. The one-year program will be offered in blended modality, allowing students to study online. The program is approved by the Maldives Qualifications Authority (MQA), and applications for the July 2025 intake are currently open until 15 July 2025.
