In a move towards providing more advanced services and a variety of options to its customers, the Bank of Maldives (BML) has announced the launch of its Shari’ah-compliant BML Islamic Visa Credit Card in the Maldives. This is not only a move towards enhancing the banking features offered by BML in the Maldives, but this development is also set to provide better Islamic banking experiences across the Maldives.

As BML launches the country's first Shariah-compliant visa credit card, the bank has also announced that the card will be made available as Classic, Gold, Platinum or Signature. Additionally, the card can also be used for both local and foreign transactions and features advanced security features with global acceptance across millions of merchants.

The BML Islamic Visa Credit Card is offered based on the principle of Ujrah, the concept of charging an agreed fee for providing services to a customer - making it the perfect choice for customers looking for a range of options when it comes to Islamic banking.

Customers can also register for the BML Rewards program to earn points for making purchases on credit cards which can then be used for flight, car, or hotel bookings, or even vouchers for local and international merchants.

As part of our commitment to enhancing the Islamic banking experience for our customers, we are delighted to add Visa to our Shari’ah-compliant credit card portfolio. By combining the global reach of Visa with our Islamic banking principles, we aim to provide a unique and secure option for customers who seek ethical banking solutions.
