The Bank of Maldives (BML) has introduced account transfers for MIRA payments through BML internet banking.
The bank took to its official X account to make the announcement on 29 June 2026. With this introduction, the bank noted that this will facilitate direct payments from the customers BML account with a secure and seamless payment experience. Additionally, the bank also noted that this introduction will support business approval workflows and make instant payment confirmation and receipts possible through the MIRA portal.
Furthermore, BML also noted that debit card payments will continue to be available until 1st August 2026. From this date onwards, only direct account transfers will be available for MIRA payments.
