BML holds groundbreaking ceremony for new branch in SH. Kanditheemu

The Bank of Maldives (BML) held a groundbreaking ceremony for its new branch in Sh. Kanditheemu on 13 October 2025.

The ceremony was attended by President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, Ministers, BML Chairperson Ahmed Ali Habeeb, BML CEO and Managing Director Mohamed Shareef and senior officials of the Bank.

The Bank currently operates a branch in Sh. Funadhoo and provides ATM services on all inhabited islands within the atoll.
