In a significant development for the aviation and tourism sectors, Manta Air has signed an exclusive agreement with Crown and Champa Resorts (CCR) to operate flights to the airport developed by Kuredu Holdings in Lhaviyani Atoll’s Madivaru. The agreement marks the end of the previous service arrangement with the national carrier, Maldivian, operated by Island Aviation Services (IAS).

Kuredu Holdings' decision to not renew its agreement with Island Aviation paved the way for the partnership with Manta Air. Under the newly signed agreement, Manta Air will become the sole airline operating scheduled flights to Madivaru Airport, enhancing connectivity to some of the Maldives' most luxurious resorts.

Scheduled flights to Madivaru Airport are set to commence on December 17, utilizing Manta Air's state-of-the-art ATR 72-600 aircraft. The airline will offer tailored schedules to accommodate both the tourism off-season and the peak tourist season, ensuring a seamless travel experience for visitors year-round. The flights will provide direct access to several prominent resorts in the Lhaviyani Atoll managed by CCR, including:

- Kuredu Island Resort & Spa

- Komandoo Island Resort & Spa

- Hurawalhi Island Resort

- Kudadoo Maldives Private Island

- Jawakara Islands Maldives

These resorts, known for their world-class hospitality and breathtaking natural beauty, are expected to benefit greatly from the improved accessibility facilitated by Manta Air. As Manta Air gears up to launch its services, this partnership is expected to further elevate the Maldives' position as a premier global travel destination.
