Maldivian expands global reach through strategic partnership with Sri Lankan Airlines
Under this partnership, Maldivian will be able to welcome more passengers from Sri Lankan Airlines’ extensive international network on flights to 17 local destinations beyond Malé.
Maldivian, the national airline of the Maldives, and Sri Lankan Airlines, the national carrier of Sri Lanka, a member of the oneworld alliance, have entered into a strategic partnership aimed at enhancing connectivity between the Maldives and a wide global network, while improving passenger access to destinations across both airlines’ networks.
Under this partnership, Maldivian will be able to welcome more passengers from Sri Lankan Airlines’ extensive international network on flights to 17 local destinations beyond Malé. The partnership will also enable seamless connections for travellers from key global markets into the Maldives via Colombo, further strengthening travel links and convenience for passengers exploring the archipelago. Additionally, this partnership will also provide Maldivian passengers with greater ease and flexibility when travelling abroad, offering smoother connections via Colombo to a wide range of international destinations.
This partnership marks another important step in our efforts to enhance accessibility to the Maldives and strengthen connectivity beyond Malé to the atolls. With Sri Lankan Airlines’ extensive global reach and our domestic network, this collaboration will support tourism growth while also making international travel more convenient for Maldivians.
